Breaking away from their usual sketch-show format, masters of mimicry, Alistair McGowan and Ronni Ancona serve up a rich festive feast as they chart Posh and Becks’ move from Beckingham Palace to Madrid and draw on everything from Laurel & Hardy to Pedro Almodovar.
Celebrities from across the showbiz spectrum give their verdict on the Posh & Becks transfer including, amongst many others, Mel C, Madonna, Jordan, David Seaman and Johnny Vaughan.
Deciding to leave En-ger-land isn’t easy for the Golden Couple, but, after attending a star-studded party in New York (where they are shunned by the likes of Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas, Nic Cage, Angelina Jolie and David Schwimmer and Courtney Cox) they follow advice from Sven and Nancy and head off to Spain.
We see the problems and heartache as the couple attempt to settle into a new life. Becks, though missing Gary Neville, is a big hit; Posh, in her unhappiness, makes an ill-fated attempt at bull-fighting before reviving her career after returning to her former manager Simon Fuller, (brilliantly played by The Forsyte Saga’s Damian Lewis)
The story then takes on a darker turn as he sets his sights on David and then starts to plan total world Beckhamisation!
Part documentary, part drama, part musical, Posh & Becks’ Big Impression promises to be totally hilarious. Alistair and Ronni’s best yet!
