The Trip To Italy 2014
Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan are asked by The Observer to do another series of restaurant reviews. The pair have six meals in six different places on a road trip around Italy. They begin in Piemonte at the Trattoria Della Posta before stopping at Byron’s house in Genova on their way to the Cenobio dei Dogi in Camogli. Steve is on hiatus from his American series and isn’t drinking, while Rob is looking to unwind during his time away from his young family.
The Trip Series 1 2010
Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan pair up in this comedy two-hander. Steve Coogan’s character is commissioned by a Sunday paper to write six restaurant reviews in and around the countryside of Lancashire and Yorkshire. He initially wants to take his American girlfriend, but when she leaves him he needs to find a replacement and at the last minute asks Rob Brydon’s character to come. Each episode follows the structure of a normal meal, but in the course of conversation discuss love, life and their careers.

This semi-autobiographical series is written by and stars Chris O’Dowd as the imaginary friend of 11 year old Martin, the youngest child in the large, loud Moone family. Headed by Martin’s signwriter father,who longs to be an artist and his frazzled mother, this is a family with a lot of love where everyone tends to pull in different directions!

Not even the weary donkey who carried his boss’s pregnant wife all the way to Bethlehem.
