The Canadian remake of BBC comedy-drama Sensitive Skin, which stars Sex & the City star Kim Cattrall in the lead role, has been commissioned for a second season.
Bell Media-owned The Movie Network and Corus Entertainment’s Movie Central in Canada have ordered another 6×30′ run of episodes, which will go into production in Toronto in spring next year.
Cattrall will return as exec producer and lead, joined by director and exec producer Don McKellar and head writer and exec producer Bob Martin. Tricon Films & Television is the international distributor as well as an exec producer on the series.
Sensitive Skin is produced by Toronto-based Rhombus Media in association with The Movie Network, Movie Central and Baby Cow Productions, the UK prodco behind the 2005 original, which aired on BBC2.
The series follows a middle-aged wife and mother who rediscovers her sexuality and begins to question some of the choices she has made in her life.
